Roy Jones Jr. and Felix Trinidad matched up over the weekend and Jones came out as the winner with a unanimous decision in the Garden making boxing news.  He proved that age is not a factor when you have natural talent. This huge victory not only sent Trinidad with his head down back to Puerto Rico but also marked the beginning of what should be a list of high profiting boxing bouts for Jones. Saturdays HBO boxing event showed promoters, fans and the whole boxing community that Jones is a man that still has the fight left in him. He once was the best fighter in the world. He has since slipped due to age, a couple of losses and boxing celebrities like Floyd Mayweather.

The next step for Jones is to prove that this weekend's boxing news victory was not a fluke and that he can still consistently win matches. He was quoted saying something to the effect of he is willing to face anyone anywhere. What he didn't say is that the money has to be right. When you are his age, injury is a large factor that could do more than end a fighting career. Who will he fight next? This will be big ESPN boxing news.
