During a set of bouts in the Florida Keys, Eric Field did not even need one minute of the first round to knock out his opponent, Kelvin Davis. According to boxing news, it only took him 55 seconds. I looked for this boxing news video on YouTube but have not been able to find it there or anywhere else so if you know where to find it let me know.
This was one highlight of many during the "Fight Night in the Keys" event. I have never visited the Florida Keys but have heard and seen how beautiful they are. It seems like an outstanding place to hold a boxing event. Fans must have thought the same thing because 2000 came to cheer on or just watch the bouts. When I think of Key West images of tropical foliage, sand, clear water and the closeness of Cuba, come to mind but not boxing but I guess there has been countless boxing news come out of the Keys. Famed author, Ernest Hemingway even made it to and refereed numerous bouts. You learn something new every day.
