Edison Miranda made boxing news last night after knocking out David Banks in the beginning of the third round. Miranda has long made boxing news for his extremely powerful punches and last night was a perfect example of that after Bank's legs gave out and he fell backwards almost out of the ring before getting tangled up in the ropes. I attached the video that features Miranda's straight right that connected with the chin of Banks. After that it was lights out. The spectators at this match definitely got their money's worth with what I would call the best knock out so far of 2008.
The last shot of this video really shows you the kind on power that Miranda has. Just listen to the sound that his right makes when it slams against Banks face. Talk about a scary guy to go up against. If you forgot, David Banks was one of the fighters featured in ESPN boxing, season three of the Contender. Not even the training given in that reality show was enough to stop this massive blow. He is going to be feeling this one for weeks to come.
